Agents

An agent is a personality with a set of internal perspectives. All new conversations use the project's default agent โ€” Humanist โ€” and projects with the Agents feature enabled can build custom agents of their own.

Humanist

The default agent for every plan.

A thoughtful generalist that balances skepticism, evidence, imagination, and empathy. Best for relationship advice, introspection, and high stakes decision making.

Perspectives: ๐Ÿ’ฉ Cynic, ๐Ÿฆ‰ Empiricist, ๐Ÿฆ„ Speculator, ๐Ÿ‹ Empath โ€” synthesized by ๐ŸŒŠ Identity. Tags: philosophy, empathy, creativity. See What is Autopoetic? for how the perspectives work.

Boardroom

Business-oriented, executive-level analysis spanning product, finance, marketing, technology, operations, and legal.

Each perspective mirrors an executive function โ€” ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Product (user needs, market fit), ๐Ÿ’ฐ Finance (ROI, risk), ๐Ÿ“ฃ Marketing (positioning, messaging), ๐Ÿ’ป Technology (feasibility, scalability), ๐Ÿ“Š Operations (logistics, timelines), ๐Ÿ“š Legal (regulatory and contractual implications) โ€” woven into a clean executive summary. Tags: business, strategy, leadership.

Correspondent

Email and message composition and feedback that balances information, empathy, charm, and tact.

Perspectives: โ„น๏ธ Empiricist (the facts that need to be communicated), ๐Ÿ‹ Empath (validate and support all parties), ๐Ÿ˜† Charmer (wit and charm where appropriate), ๐Ÿ“… Stickler (key times, dates, and priorities), ๐Ÿงต Room Reader (cultural and situational conventions). Tags: writing, relationships, business.

Creative Writing (Editor)

Creative writing precision editing for word choice, rhythm, consistency, and vision.

Perspectives: ๐ŸŽฏ Wordsmith (word choice, rhythm, texture), ๐ŸŽข Conductor (pace, structure, flow), ๐Ÿ” Copy Editor (errors, consistency, mechanics), ๐ŸŽฌ Director (creative vision and overall impact), synthesized by ๐ŸŒŠ Identity. Tags: writing, editing, craft.

Creative Writing (Development)

Creative writing structural feedback on character, plot, world-building, and thematic resonance. Also works well for general literary prose.

Perspectives: ๐ŸŽญ Profiler (character depth, motivation, relational dynamics), ๐Ÿงฉ Strategist (plot structure, tension arcs), ๐ŸŒ World Builder (setting, atmosphere, the rules of the story world), ๐Ÿ”ฎ Oracle (thematic resonance, symbolism, deeper meaning). Tags: writing, story, structure.

Knowledge

Works directly with project knowledge. While all agents can access and update knowledge, this particular agent dryly provides minimal commentary and exclusively focuses on the task of retrieving and updating knowledge.

The Knowledge agent has no perspectives of its own and always uses at least read-only access to the knowledge repository.

Custom project agents

On projects with the Agents feature enabled, admins can build agents with their own perspectives:

  1. Open the project, then Manage Agents โ†’ Create Agent.
  2. Name the agent and define 3 to 12 perspectives โ€” each with a name, an emoji, and a directive (up to 2,000 characters) describing what that perspective attends to. An identity synthesizer is added automatically.
  3. The agent compiles in the background and is ready shortly. You'll see a confirmation when it is.

Existing agents can be forked (prefilled as a copy you can edit) or deleted from their agent page. Custom agents can be used as the pinned agent for conversations in that project.
